#FreeKinimo

Tom Feeley, Field Office Director, Immigration and Customs Enforcement

Kinimo Ngoran fled to the United States from his home in the Ivory Coast over a decade ago, seeking safety and freedom from political and ethnic violence. With the help of New Yorkers in New York City and Albany, he attempted to navigate the labyrinth of immigration laws over the years, always seeking permanent lawful status. While in the Capital District he worked lawfully as a cook for the Capital City Rescue Mission, feeding hundreds of free meals per day, until he was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement during a routine check-in.

Kinimo is literally “waiting in line” for a visa, having met and married his United States Citizen wife within the past few years. Immigration has ripped him from their deep ties in the community and taken him into custody, holding him in detention in Batavia, New York. Kinimo is not a flight risk, having checked in regularly with ICE in Latham for years. We, the undersigned, demand his release from ICE custody and support a stay of deportation while he makes his case for why he should be permitted to continue his life in the United States. We demand that he be reunited with his family, community and neighbors in the Capital District while he fights his case.

Please call Tom Feeley at the ICE Field Office and demand Kinimo's release: 716-464-5800
