Day Laborers Detained in Pomona Must Be Released Now
On April 22, 2025, Border Patrol agents conducted an unjust and aggressive raid outside the Home Depot in Pomona, California — targeting day laborers who were simply standing in a parking lot seeking honest work. Five of these day laborers detained were sent to ICE custody. Some of them are Indigenous, most have no criminal record, and all are beloved members of our community.
Now, these workers are being held in ICE detention at the Imperial Regional Detention Facility — facing deportation simply for exercising their constitutional right to seek employment in a public space.
This is wrong. This is racial profiling. This is a violation of their rights — and we will not stay silent.
The #FreeThePomonaJornaleros campaign demands the immediate release of the following day laborers still detained at the Imperial Regional Facility:
Jesus Domingo Ros – A# 249-126-701
Edwin Roberto Juarez Cobon – A# 249-126-700
Yoni Ronaldo Jacinto Garcia – A# 249-126-712
Dennis Jefferson Aragon Guzman – A# 201-946-598
Edgar Alejandro Flores Juarez – A# 244-729-139
We demand that ICE, DHS, and CBP:
Immediately release the Pomona day laborers from detention
Stop targeting workers who are simply seeking to survive with dignity
Respect the constitutional rights of all workers — regardless of immigration status
✍️ Add your name to this petition and show that:
✅ Day laborers should not be criminalized
✅ Our community stands with workers, not raids
✅ Seeking work is not a crime
Pomona has their back.

[Your Name]
Dear Department of Homeland Security and Customs Border Patrol,
I am writing to express my urgent support for the release of five day laborers currently detained at the Imperial Regional Detention Facility following a raid conducted by Border Patrol agents outside the Home Depot in Pomona, California on April 22, 2025.
The following individuals are being held in ICE custody despite posing no threat to public safety or national security:
Jesus Domingo Ros – A# 249-126-701
Edwin Roberto Juarez Cobon – A# 249-126-700
Yoni Ronaldo Jacinto Garcia – A# 249-126-712
Dennis Jefferson Aragon Guzman – A# 201-946-598
Edgar Alejandro Flores Juarez – A# 244-729-139
All five are hardworking members of the Pomona community. Some are Indigenous and all were simply seeking work — a constitutional right — when they were detained. Their continued detention is unjust and inconsistent with basic standards of fairness and due process.
I respectfully urge you to exercise discretion and immediately release these men from ICE custody so they may return to their families and communities while their cases proceed.
Seeking work is not a crime.
