I am writing you as part of the "No Fossil Fuel Money" coalition, a national effort designed to help rid our democracy of fossil fuel industry interests and protect the health of our families and our climate. One of our top priorities is to make sure that all appointees to the House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis, including you, pledge to take no money from the fossil fuel industry.

We now know that the oil industry used the same deceptive tactics as the tobacco industry to mislead the public and downplay the hazards of climate change for decades. With little time to act, we need our elected officials, especially those on the House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis, to reject campaign donations from the fossil fuel industry.
