Too many residents of Lee County have been homeless, displaced, or living in damaged and temporary housing for too long.

It has been three years since Hurricane Ian devastated our community, and we need you to put people first in rebuilding Lee County and get hurricane-impacted families home and whole.

We demand:
- That you make every effort to work within the HUD guidelines to help hurricane-impacted residents rebuild and get home.
- A public audit of how the county has spent the over $1 billion in taxpayer funds received for disaster recovery from Hurricanes Ian, Milton, and Helene.
- The creation of a Citizens Advisory Board with the ability to review all internal documents, conduct hearings, and make recommendations to the County Manager and County Board about budget and financial decisions with federal disaster recovery funds.
- That you join in efforts to ensure that federal disaster funds continue to come to Florida, with a focus on getting more money to more survivors more quickly.

Survivors of Hurricane Ian have been left behind for too long, and we demand action now.
