Pennsylvania families have suffered for too long from a broken Unemployment Compensation (UC) system.

The pandemic overwhelmed the UC system and it’s still broken, unemployed people waiting 3 months for benefits they should be getting in 3 weeks.

Pennsylvania’s Unemployment Compensation system must pay benefits when unemployed people need them.

We call on Governor Josh Shapiro Fix the UC System by:

• Appointing new, competent leadership in the Department of Labor and Industry that runs the UC system
• Stop sending illegally threatening letters to people who got the wrong benefits due to the failed PA UC system
• Meet Federal requirements to pay benefits within 3 weeks of unemployed people applying for them
• Pay the benefits still owed formerly unemployed people from 2020 and 2021
• Investigate and change the for-profit contractor now running the PA UC system, Geographic Solutions Inc
