Help make XPO a great place to work!

TO: Bradley Jacobs, CEO, XPO Logistics

We stand strong with the truck drivers and warehouse workers who haul and handle America’s freight and imported cargo. These brave American workers – employed by corporate giant XPO Logistics (though XPO misclassifies many as “independent contractors”) – are fighting for a safe workplace, affordable health care, and a fair wage...and an to end wage theft.

I stand with the hard-working XPO employees – many of whom you illegally misclassify as “independent contractors” – who are fueling the growth and profitability of XPO Logistics. Despite their value to the company, they are toiling in unsafe working conditions with low wages – often below minimum wage due to persistent wage theft, inadequate or non-existent benefits, and daily harassment and intimidation from management. XPO employees across America have a fair demand that I unequivocally support:

Meet with your workers to chart a course together to make XPO a respectable American corporation that does more than deliver strong shareholder profits – we demand that you make XPO a great place for Americans to work!

Together, we demand that as the CEO you:

(1) End the misclassification of the XPO employees that you illegally call “independent contractors.”
(2) Address safety concerns at warehouses, stop abusing the use of agency temps, and provide secure, full-time employment.
(3) Respect workers’ federally protected right to form their union and stop spending thousands every day for union-busters while workers endure higher health care costs, less coverage, and no retirement security.
(4) Immediately call for an end to the mistreatment and abuse from management at all XPO divisions. Threats and intimidation of employees will not be tolerated.
(5) For those XPO employees who have united as Teamsters, bargain in good faith with them and their chosen representatives, with a goal of a fair and equitable contract that works for the employees and for the company.

Thank you in advance for your immediate action, Mr. Jacobs.
