Horrendous Statement from Trump Crosses the Line

President Donald Trump took to Twitter to retweet and thank a supporter who said in his video, "the only good Democrat is a dead Democrat." The statement and its support by the President of the United States is not only shocking, but grossly negligent and incredibly dangerous. We ask our all-Republican Congressional delegation to strongly condemn the President's actions and the sentiment of the message. We cannot allow silence to be the response.

On Thursday, May 28, the President of the United States shared a video in which the speaker said, "the only good Democrat is a dead Democrat."
We have come to expect political rancor in these times, but this statement goes beyond partisan bickering, and is outright dangerous to our Republic, your constituents, and your fellow Americans. The Democratic Party represents the majority of Americans, and is the largest political party in the United States. We are parents, veterans, teachers, seniors, students, laborers, leaders, healthcare workers, men and women of every religion, every age, and every race. We are Alaskans and you are our voice in Washington, D.C.
The President has used his position of power to amplify a horribly dangerous message from a politician who faces outrage in his state and has been called on to resign by Democrats and Republicans alike.
We are calling on you - not to refute in generalities, not to parse words. We are calling on you to strongly condemn the President's specific actions and the statement to which he actually said, "Thank you." He has crossed the line, and you will cross it with him if you do not speak out.
Thank you for your consideration.
