Casa Bonita Management

The management of Casa Bonita walked away from the negotiating table, so the performers of Casa Bonita are walking onto the picket line. Casa Bonita management failed to deliver responses in contract bargaining that would move the unionized workers towards a fair contract and a resolution to their outstanding Unfair Labor Practices charge.

The divers, magicians, puppeteers, actors and other entertainers at Casa Bonita unanimously voted to unionize with Actors' Equity Association in November 2024, and they unanimously reaffirmed their commitment to the union with their labor peace vote on August 14, 2025. They've been in contract negotiations since April 2025. In September, the union filed an Unfair Labor Practices charge against Casa Bonita when the restaurant illegally cut more than 1,000 hours from the workers without engaging in bargaining. Since then, Casa Bonita has added insult to injury by doubling down on an unfair wage proposal and refusing to respond to demands around performer safety. Recently, the workers delivered a petition to management urging them to accept the contract that is currently on the table.

“We are the reason guests leave smiling and telling stories about Casa Bonita. We are the reason people drive across states to see this show. And yet, management continues to devalue the very people who make it all possible,” said lead diver Bethel Lindsley. “Without the entertainment team, Casa Bonita is just a giant pink building with Mexican Rainforest Café vibes. And if management doesn’t begin to take our bargaining process seriously, they’re going to see exactly what that feels like.”

Tell Casa Bonita leadership that you stand with these workers as they seek a fair contract guaranteeing a safe workplace and sustainable working conditions.

Dear Casa Bonita Management,

As a patron and fan of Casa Bonita, I stand with the performers as they fight for a fair contract. For over 50 years, the performers at Casa Bonita have provided an unparalleled experience that is unique to this institution. Over the past year, they have shown their commitment to Casa Bonita and its patrons by demanding a safe work environment and sustainable working conditions that will allow them to entertain people for years to come.

As the workers continue to bargain for their first union contract, I pledge my support for the performers at Casa Bonita. I urge management to come to agreement on a fair contract that meets their needs. If the performers at Casa Bonita go on strike, I will not cross a picket line. I stand in solidarity with Casa Bonita United!
