ICE KIDNAPS GUINEAN QUEER YOUTH IN DANGER IF DEPORTED!
Local, State and Federal Elected Officials
Demba Keita is a 23 yrs old, Queer young person from Guinea who was kidnapped after attending his immigration hearing on July 28th, just as he was told to do. He was given another date. Demba has been held captive in the 10th floor of federal plaza, where he was not been fed.
Demba’s life is in danger if he’s returned to Guinea, where newspapers have posted his information calling him a “danger to society” and threatening to kill him for being Queer.
Call/email the federal plaza field office, ERO office, and legislators to demand his liberation, stop him from being shipped to another detention center and have access to his attorney.
This is a matter of life or death.

"Hello, I am emailing about my friend Demba Keita (A#245601299), from Guinea, a constituent of yours (zipcode 10465), who was violently targeted and kidnapped after his immigration court hearing on July 28th. He has been held captive in the 10th floor of Federal Plaza, where he reported not being fed since he was taken. Demba's asylum case is still open and he was scheduled for a future hearing.
Demba is 23 yrs old, Queer and originally from Guinea. He fled due to persecution and his life is in imminent danger if he was deported. There are news articles naming him specifically and calling for his death for being Queer. We fear that Demba will be transferred to a detention center far from here, increasing hurdles to achieve his freedom. This is a life or death matter.
We need you as his local/state/federal representative to intervene immediately and demand appropriate and fast actions to release Demba. We need you to do what's in your power now. Every action counts. Every minute is essential.
I will continue to email until I receive a reply, and until I see Demba reunited with his family. Thank you."
