ICE OUT OF CARY NOW!

Join the Cary community in voicing your opposition to the Immigration Customs and Enforcement (ICE) expanding their presence in our communities.

ICE's proposed operations center would be located at 11000 Regency Parkway in an office space whose leasing is brokered by real estate mogul Foundry Commercial and owned by BDS II NC Regency Lakeview LLC (acquired by massive private equity firm Apollo Global Management one month before the lease signing). Cary and the rest of North Carolina should oppose the expansion of ICE every step of the way and make it clear to Foundry Commercial, BDS II NC Regency Lakeview LLC, and Apollo Global Management that ICE will never be welcomed in our state!

During the recent state of address, Cary Mayor Weinbrecht stated that he has no authority to act. That speaking up will just draw unwanted attention to our immigrant communities. We have heard this over and over again from politicians who would rather stay silent than stand up against ICE terror.

As we have seen across the country, where ICE and Border Patrol have terrorized immigrant communities, when we are organized and when we fight, we win! When ICE and CBP came to North Carolina last November, communities organized ICE watch trainings, mutual aid networks, and student walkouts. Thousands took to the streets to shut down business as usual!

And now, ICE wants to continue its expansion in Cary with another office. Sign the petition below to make your voice heard that we will not welcome ICE in Cary, and join our Nuestro Barrio WhatsApp chat to learn more about next steps to protest ICE in Cary!

The people of the Triangle, NC demand that the lease with ICE at 11000 Regency Parkway in Cary, NC be voided or cancelled and that no additional buildings that you manage or broker be leased to them. ICE is terrorizing our immigrant neighbors and ripping our communities apart. 1 in 4 Cary residents are foreign-born, numerous people have spoken at town council voicing a majority-held sentiment against ICE in Cary, and we will not stop protesting until our demands are met!
