The Ohio Student Association chapter at Ohio University stands strong in its opposition to Immigration and Customs Enforcement and their presence in Ohio. Beginning with a student walk-out on January 23, we will be collecting signatures of those who stand in solidarity with Minneapolis’s general strike, urging OU to protect students from ICE. This follows ICE’s murder of Renee Good, occupation of Minneapolis, and arrest of student anti-ICE protesters at the Ohio State University on Tuesday, January 20th. Students have seen a lack of transparency from President Lori Gonzalez and the Ohio University Board of Trustees related to ICE activity on campus.
