Justice for Dr. A.C. Jackson - Protect His Legacy and Hold Accountable Those Who Profit from His Death
The City of Tulsa, Tulsa Community Foundation, and Greenwood Rising
Dr. Andrew Chesteen Jackson was a nationally prominent member of the Greenwood community in Tulsa, Oklahoma, who was brutally murdered during the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre.
Our legal team has filed a petition on behalf of Dr. Jackson's estate, stating that The City of Tulsa, Hille Foundation, and Greenwood Rising are commodifying from the death of hundreds of Black people, including Dr. A.C. Jackson.
However, the Hille Foundation and Greenwood Rising are attacking Dr. Jackson's family, saying they have no right to protect his legacy.
We reject this exploitation of white institutions that profit from the death of Black individuals. Jon Adams and his family should have the right to own their own family history.
Join us in calling for justice and accountability by signing this petition to protect Dr. Jackson's legacy, and hold those who profit from his death accountable.
We demand that Greenwood Rising:
- Publicly support the three living survivors' public nuisance lawsuit against the City of Tulsa and other perpetrators of the Massacre.
- Distribute a percentage of the $30 million dollars it raised to pay the outstanding insurance and city/county claims that were unjustly denied.
- Annually distribute a percentage of its on-going revenue to survivors and descendants of the Massacre to pay the outstanding insurance and city/county claims that were unjustly denied
- Publicly support a true criminal investigation into the known people killed during the Massacre
- And, compensate Massacre survivors and descendants of those who were victimized during the Massacre for the intellectual property (family narratives, photos, videos, etc.) Greenwood rising has requested and/or are using.

I stand with the family of Dr. A.C. Jackson and the Justice for Greenwood Foundation in rejecting the exploitation of racist institutions that profit from the death of Black individuals. Jon Adams and his family should have the right to own their own family history.
