Keep our Town Safe and Clean
The Town of Oyster Bay
During the COVID-19 pandemic we all agree it is important that we stop the spread of the virus. While residents are using masks and gloves to do their part, unfortunately the Town of Oyster Bay has not provided the necessary sanitation in some of our public spaces. Walking through our main streets, like Broadway in Hicksville there is a lack of trash receptacles. We need our local government to do what is right and provide the proper sanitation for our public spaces to make sure used gloves, masks, and garbage stays off our streets and we keep safe and healthy. Please sign this petition asking the Town of Oyster Bay to act now and provide the necessary trash cans for our community.

In order to keep the community safe and hygienic during this public health crisis and after. We, the below signed, residents and non-residents of the Town of Oysterbay demand that all public spaces within the Town of Oyster Bay have proper sanitation services including trash receptacles to keep our streets and sidewalks clean.
There should be two to four waste receptacles per block. One should be located at each end of the block next to any crosswalk, and one or two more in the middle of the block if there are benches or take-out food shops. These receptacles should be put in place as soon as possible.
