Ken Paxton Must Resign or Face Impeachment
Texas Governor Greg Abbott, Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, Presumptive Speaker of the Texas House of Representatives Dade Phelan
Ken Paxton is under indictment, being investigated by the FBI, and was in D.C. exhorting the insurrectionists who would soon occupy the U.S. Capitol to keep up the fight. He cannot be allowed to remain in office as the Texas Attorney General.

Ken Paxton does not deserve the honor of representing Texas as Attorney General.
He has been indicted for securities fraud.
He is currently under investigation by the FBI for allegations made by eight of his top staff members that he illegally used the power of his office to benefit a political donor.
And on January 6, 2021, he stood on the same stage later occupied by President Donald J. Trump and spoke to the insurrectionists who stormed the U.S. Capitol. Ken Paxton exhorted them, saying “We will not quit fighting. We’re Texans, we’re Americans, and the fight will go on.”
What happened in Washington is not the fight Ken Paxton was elected to oversee. He was elected to uphold and defend the Constitution, not attack it.
His flagrant disregard for law and the Constitution cannot go unanswered.
The people of Texas and signatories to this petition, therefore, call upon Governor Greg Abbott, Lt. Governor Dan Patrick, and the presumptive Speaker of the Texas House of Representatives Dade Phelan (or the person ultimately selected for that position), to demand that Ken Paxton resign.
If he will not, they must begin the impeachment process.
If the Republican leadership in Texas lacks the will to remove Paxton from office, then Texas voters need to know that.
