Kaiser: Coalition-represented workers deserve a guaranteed minimum PSP payout!

Deanna Dudley, Kaiser Permanente

Kaiser is currently refusing to discuss a guaranteed minimum PSP payout for Coalition-represented members.

We have always had a guaranteed minimum payout in the NW.

Why is Kaiser dividing us like this? We all work together to make Kaiser the best place to work and receive care. Kaiser should treat us all with respect and dignity.

We are writing to you, as Vice President for Human Resources for KPNW, to respectfully demand that you agree to include a guaranteed minimum payout as part of the 2021 Performance Sharing Plan (PSP) for Coalition Union-represented employees.

A guaranteed minimum payout has always been part of our PSP in this region. We have always agreed that, in the event that the Region does not meet its financial gate, each goal category achieving threshold or higher performance, will be paid at threshold.

This long-standing language has served to ensure that the countless hours and hard work that UBT members spend meeting PSP goals do not go completely unrewarded. Financial gate is not a number that is bargained and our members are not solely responsible for meeting financial gate.

Finally, it is simply unfair that you have agreed to a guaranteed minimum payout for only 1/2 of our region (for Alliance-represented employees). That is not in the spirit of partnership, and it will only serve to divide us when we should all be working together to make Kaiser the best place to give and receive care.

We call on you to honor us and our work and include a guaranteed minimum payout as part of the 2021 PSP.

Signed,
