Dear Larco,

This past year has been a tough year for everyone in the hotel industry. With vaccines beginning to roll out, there is a light at the end of the tunnel and we need to move forward together. We are asking you, in our negotiations, to withdraw proposals that will harm workers and set us back. Our severance, tips and medical benefits need to be protected, while our pension needs to improve so we can retire with dignity. Most importantly, we need an assurance that all workers can come back to their job when tourism rebounds. We know that the tourism industry in Richmond and the Lower Mainland will rebound. We will not accept using the pandemic as an excuse to move backwards.
