Let's show Congress whose House it is by putting a name on the ballot!

For too long, the United States government has ignored what the voters want. Though Congress has been dominated by moneyed interests, their power relies on a lot of subterfuge which makes voters and nonvoters feel powerless and hopeless. This year, however, is screaming out for We the People to leverage our grassroots people power and demonstrate — to Congress, to POTUS, and to the world — that indeed we ARE powerful.

Congress should be filled to the brim with everyday people working in consultation with their districts at home to provide true representation in policy-making. Let’s make 2024 the year we declare the U.S. House of Representatives the People’s House and commit to the fight to make it happen.

2024 is the year we will make the US House of Representatives the People's House.

I am signing this petition as a signal to Congress, the President, and the world that governments derive "their just powers from the consent of the governed" and that I do not consent to what the US government is doing in my name.

By signing this petition I am adding my name to a growing list of people who will attempt to find 10 people in every US House district throughout the country who agree to work together on fielding one name for Congress on the ballot in that district. Among those 10, we’d have the seeds for a successful effort to place a name on the ballot. Each group of 10 will collaborate to decide upon which candidate they will petition for. One name will be advanced, while all 10 people will work on signature collection.

By pooling together, the policy platform and messaging and resourcing can be shared. We can develop a platform, in collaboration with Jill Stein, the Green Party, and other candidates and parties, and individual candidates can pick and choose which planks they would run on, though stopping the genocide in Gaza would be at the top of the list.

The more people who sign this petition, the more likely we can build a critical mass of people in any given district. So sign, share, and let's get to work giving as many voters as possible a Congressional choice on their November ballot who will stand up for people, peace, and the planet.
