Students are starting a cooperatively-run cafe at Hunter! Our goal is to build a stronger community on campus, provide high-quality beverages and snacks, create good green jobs in a democratic workplace, and provide direly-needed space for students so we no longer have to sit on the floor (see above photo.) We plan to start with a mobile cart, and eventually evolve into a permanent cafe space, hopefully in Thomas Hunter Hall, a currently-underserved area. This petition will help show that there is support for this idea so that we can ask the administration for space and permission to operate.
