MPS Family Solidarity Pledge

MPS Board of School Directors

The proposed MPS budget leaves teachers feeling less than "appreciated" this week. These cuts will result in larger class sizes, fewer specials, and fewer counselors, nurses, librarians and social workers. Educators and students deserve better! Show your support for educators and the fight for a fair MPS budget by adding your name to the pledge below.

We the undersigned MPS parents, students, and community members, call on the MPS Board of School Directors toimmediately amend the proposed 2018-19 MPS Budget to provide for the following:

• Restore the cuts to OUR SCHOOLS and maintain funding for transportation.
• Provide the TIME our educators need for our students.
• Health Insurance for ALL with no cuts to our current plans.
• Cost of living raises for all MPS education workers with sensible salary schedules that recognize years of service to MPS.

We support MPS education workers and pledge to do what it takes to achieve the immediate passage of an MPS Budget that attracts and retains the best and brightest public education workers to work directly with MPS Students and Families.
