NCSU Campus Workers Deserve $25/hour and a Voice on the Job!
NCSU Board of Trustees
UPDATE: We have now collected over 200 signatures from NCSU facilities and dining staff (many are offline on paper). Help us reach our goal of 300! We plan to deliver at an action at the NCSU Board of Trustees meeting September 24-25. STAY TUNED!!
We, the workers of North Carolina State University, call for immediate action by the Board of Trustees
to address the following demands:
1. Pay NCSU Campus Workers a Living Wage: We demand that campus workers' wages be raised to a minimum of $25 per hour
2. End Pay-to-Work: Eliminate parking fees for all campus workers. We should not have to pay to come to work.
3. Meet and Confer with NCSU Management: We insist on periodic "meet and confer" sessions between the NCSU Housekeeping/Facilities Director and UE150 worker representatives. These meetings should address workplace safety, fairness and other concerns and foster an ongoing dialogue aimed at improving conditions for all workers.
