Support the movement for a free Palestine & demand Co-op Food Stores stop stocking products that fund genocide!
Whether we have been member-owners our whole lives or have just joined, are employees or customers—we love the Co-op and we share its commitment to taking local action in support of a more just, sustainable, and equitable world.
For over a year we have watched with horror the ongoing genocide and starvation of the people of Gaza, and we know an effective, coordinated strategy for stopping this genocide is to boycott and divest from Israeli products and the companies that collaborate with Israeli apartheid.
As the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) Movement gains momentum worldwide, we want to see this cooperative practice its commitment to sell products from ethical sources. We call upon the Co-op Board of Directors to advise the cooperative and General Manager, based on its established ethical principles and bylaws, to:
Discontinue stocking products made in Israel or otherwise financially connected to the Israeli settler occupation and genocide of Palestine, potentially in a phased approach if needed.
Audit for and cut any further financial ties to Israel and companies that support the genocide in Palestine, including all purchases and investments.
Stock fair trade and equal exchange Palestinian products as opportunities arise.
We, the undersigned member-owners, customers, and employees, also commit to personally boycott all goods made in Israel or otherwise financially connected to the Israeli settler occupation, regardless of the extent and timeline of the Co-op’s action.

- Stock fair trade and equal exchange Palestinian products as the opportunity arises.
