Every American deserves safety — in schools, on college campuses, in houses of worship, at concerts, in our neighborhoods, and in our homes. Instead, gun violence is tearing this country apart every single day.

Gun violence does not discriminate. The killing of Charlie Kirk proved once again that no ideology, background, or community is safe. And every day, far from the headlines, countless more lives are stolen — mostly young people, disproportionately Black and brown, whose stories rarely make the news. Gun violence is now the number one killer of young Americans. That is a national disgrace.

Congress has had decades of warnings. Decades of funerals. Decades of families begging for action. Enough is enough.

We, the undersigned, demand that Congress pass real solutions to end this crisis once and for all:

We cannot accept another day of inaction. We cannot allow our leaders to hide behind the gun lobby while Americans are slaughtered. Thoughts and prayers will not save lives — laws will.
