No To Outsourcing Our Custodial And Grounds Staff

We acknowledge the integral work of our custodial and grounds colleagues in making UWRF a safe welcoming environment.
We ask UWRF to operate as a responsible, ethical employer.
We ask UWRF to value its dedicated employees and to treat them -- interpersonally, culturally, and economically -- with respect and integrity.
We beseech UWRF leaders and administrators to NOT outsource the work done by our important, dedicated, and loyal custodial and grounds colleagues.
We ask that these positions be funded sufficiently to attract and retain new employees that are as capable and appreciated as current staff and that funds not be diverted from their pay and benefits to a contractor’s profits.
We ask the Administration to work with the University Community in finding ways to achieve these goals; the UWRF community has the talent and willpower to achieve efficiencies, provide a living wage, and respect human dignity without outsourcing consistent with our Vision and Core Values.
