The government may have re-opened, but Donald Trump's frequent threats to shut the government back down or declare a national emergency to build his wall show that he has not lost the appetite to use federal government workers and contractors as bargaining chips.

We reject this tactic, and call on Trump and McConnell to pass long-term funding without their monument to hate.
