Pass the People's Budget
Governor Mike DeWine, Senate President Matt Huffman, House Speaker Jason Stephens
The future of Ohio depends on a fair, equitable, and people-centered budget that cares for all of us — no exceptions.
Black, white, or brown, we Ohioans take care of each other. But today, certain politicians are more interested in taking care of their wealthy and corporate backers than they are in making sure all of us can live a happy, healthy life.
We have more than enough resources in our state to make sure every child attends a great public school. We have more than enough to pay the people who care for the littlest Ohioans the real value of their essential work. And we have more than enough for every Ohioan, of every race, in every part of the state, to live with dignity and afford good food, safe housing and health care. This is why we’re joining together to demand our elected officials pass the People’s Budget.
What is the People's Budget?
The People's Budget is about speaking truth to the wealthy and powerful about what Ohioans need. With the People's Budget, we're making the wealthiest Ohioans and huge corporations pay what they owe so all of us can thrive, no exceptions.
This campaign was conceived by grassroots leaders from the Ohio Organizing Collaborative with support from the team at Policy Matters Ohio.

Ohio’s state budget should use our shared resources to do the most good for the most people. But for too long, Ohio lawmakers have been dismantling our state to fund tax breaks for the wealthy few and corporations that extract more than they contribute. Ohioans are tired of leaders sacrificing our teachers, parents, and essential workers — and the people they serve.
We demand a People's Budget for 2023-2025 that raises revenue on those who can afford it to build up our state for everyone.
