Support The People's Budget
Governor Mike DeWine, Senate President Matt Huffman, and House Speaker Bob Cupp
The future of Ohio depends on a fair, equitable, and people-centered budget that cares for all of us -- no exceptions.
Ohioans take care of each other. But today, certain politicians are more interested in taking care of their wealthy and corporate backers than they are in making sure all of us can live a happy, healthy life.
We know we have more than enough to make sure that Ohioans can afford quality food, housing, education, health care, and child care. This is why we’re joining together to demand our elected officials pass a state budget that cares for all of us.
What is the People's Budget?
The People's Budget is about speaking truth to the wealthy and powerful about what Ohioans need. With the People's Budget, we're making the 1% and huge corporations pay what they owe so all of us can thrive, no exceptions. This is our first step in organizing to make our demands reality.
This campaign was conceived by grassroots leaders from the Ohio Organizing Collaborative with support from research experts from Policy Matters Ohio.

Why the People's Budget?
With a state budget that cares for all of us, all of our kids could get the education they need to follow their dreams. Black white, or brown, our families would take comfort in their loved ones coming home safe at night. Everyone could have a home to make memories in, our essential workers could be cared for, and we could see a doctor without going bankrupt.
No matter our skin color or income, Ohioans deserve to be cared for by our leaders. Join our movement to demand a People’s Budget now.

For nearly three decades, our lawmakers have passed a state budget that does not meet our needs nor provide us with opportunities to thrive. Instead, the wealthy few and corporations have hoarded more than their fair share, lining their pockets at the expense of our schools, hospitals, and child care centers. We demand a People's Budget that holds the wealthiest of Ohioans accountable, while working people pay more than their fair share.
