The 2028 Presidential Election is a critical opportunity for democratic socialists and progressives in the United States. Together we can win an Arms Embargo, push for Medicare For All and a Green New Deal, and start a Third Reconstruction. Let's keep building DSA into a mass socialist party with hundreds of thousands of members – eventually 1,000,000 – to win a country run by and for the multiracial working class. It's time for DSA members to seize the moment, unite the Labor Movement and the Left, and elect dues-paying DSA member Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to the Presidency.

We are DSA members who want our organization to seize the moment by endorsing Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as our candidate for President starting as early as possible so that we can use the campaign to grow our movement and spread our democratic socialist politics. Endorsing Bernie Sanders in 2016 and 2020 put democratic socialism on the map in national politics and led to an explosion of membership. In the decade since then, new members have become experienced organizers who are leading unions, organizing their workplaces, and fighting for universal healthcare, an end to U.S. wars, abolishing and prosecuting ICE, and a transition to a democratic government and economy to adapt to climate change. We can and must fight the fascists by leading a nationwide movement to win democracy and socialism in our time.
