PETITION FOR ACCEPTANCE OF PARCELS IN MAHALLAH & EZIBOX
Residential & Services Department, Finance Division IIUM

Recent major problem arises when Residential & Services Department, Finance Division IIUM decided to stop all Mahallahs from receiving students’ parcels, causing numerous complaints from the majority of IIUM community as the policy was implemented effective 5th March 2018. Instead of collecting parcels at respective Mahallah Office, the newly implemented policy was nothing but a burden for the whole community as they need to collect their own parcels at Poslaju National Courier Batu Caves which is quite far from IIUM.
On the other hand, the EziBox service provided by Poslaju near Finance Division (Student Unit, Level 1 Rectory) and Mahallah Asiah was never enough to cater hundreds of parcels delivered to IIUM and resulted in some of the parcels delivered back to Poslaju National Courier. The EziBox service was designed in such way that some parcels cannot fit in and the total number of parcel lockers is also very limited. This scenario then caused confusion among IIUM community that they’ve no idea to track their parcels although the parcel tracking number is provided.
Thus, Students’ Representative Council as the representative of all IIUM students created this petition in order to get strong support from IIUM Community so that we can solve this issue and come up with solutions as well as alternatives that will benefit both parties – IIUM community and Residential & Services Department.
WE, the undersigned of all IIUM community of Gombak campus, would like to petition RSD to:
