Hi Representative Moore my name is [Name]. I am a volunteer with Our Wisconsin Revolution. I am writing to you to express my support for Medicare For All. Due to our current healthcare system, 31 million Americans live without health insurance. As a result millions are at risk of medical bankruptcy or death. Currently, the United States is the only industrialized nation that does not guarantee healthcare as a right to its citizens. Due to the profit-driven healthcare system we pay twice per capita per person on healthcare compared to countries with universal healthcare systems; however, we have worse health outcomes. Adopting a Medicare For All system would mean that every U.S. citizen would be fully covered for less than what our current healthcare system costs. A recent CBO study showed that a transition to Medicare For All could save the U.S. up to 400 billion dollars per year in healthcare costs. We appreciate that in the past you supported H.R. 676, Rep. John Conyers's Medicare For All bill. We hope that you understand that the best way to insure every American is covered at a lower cost is to co-sponsor and advocate for the full implementation of the Medicare for All Act.
