Protect Iowa's Schools
The House Representatives of Iowa
Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds has proposed for the second year in a row the ESA Voucher Bill, and continues to find the means for it to pass through the House of Representatives. This devastating bill attempts to use $55 million worth of the state’s funding to distribute 10,000 scholarships for private education. If House Republicans push Reynolds’ bill forward, students of Iowa public schools will enter classrooms with fewer students and less funding, especially affecting working class families, and districts without private education. This directly targets BIPOC, LGBTQ+ people, and people with disabilities.
