Protect Veterans' Health: Stop the Privatization of the VA
US Senate
Last week, the House of Representatives passed a bill that would take huge steps towards privatizing the VA.
Veterans overwhelmingly want their care from the VA and do not want to be forced into the private sector, where providers are not equipped to deal with the special needs of veterans. Every dollar spent on privatized care deprives our veterans of the specialized care offered at the VA - specialized care that saves their lives and helps veterans heal more effectively. This bill will also create a BRAC commission leading to the closure of some VA facilities.
The Senate will vote on this same bill early next week. Please sign this petition to urge your Senators to oppose S.2372, the so-called VA MISSION Act.

Dear Senator,
I am writing to urge your opposition to S.2372, the so-called VA MISSION Act. This bill would further privatize the VA, and undermine the healthcare that our veterans receive.
While I support the expansion of caregiver benefits, it is an outrage that groups funded by the Koch brothers have been able to attach their privatization agenda to undermine veterans health to this bill.
I ask that you vote NO on S.2372 and instead advocate for a bill that would properly fund and staff the VA.
