Push City Council to Implement a Rental Registry

Sylvia Ortiz District 3, Marcus Miller District 6, Spencer Duncan, Mayor

On July 21st City Council will be holding a hearing to discuss implementing a rental registry for Topeka. Topeka Tenants has determined that this will help renters prove the chronic maintenance neglect and hold landlords accountable with an ordinance that makes violations public and enforced.

In order to make sure that city council does not vote to kill this proposal, we need to show them that Topeka residents support a rental registry.

Sign to show you support is the bare minimum you can do.

You can also support this endeavor by reaching out to your District council member

If you know someone who lives in an apartment complex, please tell them to email their city council member. If you or someone you know lives in any of these apartments, we urge you to talk to your neighbors, as these council members could sway the vote.
