Riley County Police Department and Law Board Committee Members

The Riley County Police Department (RCPD) has submitted an application for a Bridging Immigration-related Deficits Experienced Nationwide (BIDEN) program grant. This grant, if fully awarded at $31m, is supposed to fund updates to the jail and RCPD's technology and infrastructure. In exchange, the RCPD will participate in ICE operations and sign on to a 287g agreement. Entering a 287g agreement would allow RCPD some duties and functions of immigration officers. This agreement was previously stopped by the RCPD Law Board. If you would like to learn more about RCPD's BIDEN application, the BIDEN program, or 287g, visit the YDSA at K-State's LinkTree.

RCPD should not accept a BIDEN grant that would require them to cooperate with ICE.
