Gianni Infantino just announced plans to auction off the World Cup to private investors.

The 2026 already showed us a glimpse of the future cash grab under Infantino's leadership. Hydration breaks. "Dynamic pricing" for tickets and shady resale practices. Unprecedented political interference. Apparent favoritism that benefited the most marketable teams and players.

Gianni Infantino is up for reelection in 2027. We are calling on FIFA member bodies and the 37-member council to reject Infantino's "FIFA Forward Enterprises" scheme and select a new president who will put the game first.

If FIFA sells stakes in the World Cup to private investors, the pressure to continually grow profits will become immense. That will mean more commercial intrusions. Higher ticket prices. More expensive merch. Fewer ways for fans to participate. And more opportunities for political interference.

In 2026, "Johnny Soccer" set a truly dangerous precedent when he helped lift Folarin Balogun's red card suspension under pressure from the White House.

Pressure to deliver profits for private investors will only increase the likelihood of FIFA bending to political pressure again in the future.

Gianni Infantino is up for reelection in March, 2027. We call on FIFA member bodies to defend the integrity of the game by rejecting his reelection and his scheme to sell out the World Cup.

As fans of the game, we are disgusted that a sitting president of a host nation pressured FIFA to benefit his national team.

It is completely unacceptable that FIFA President Gianni Infantino took action to reward that clearly corrupt behavior.

The precedent set by Mr. Infantino and the FIFA disciplinary committee will corrupt global soccer unless member associations take swift and decisive action to hold them accountable.

We urge you to vote against Mr. Infantino's re-election and to completely rebuild the disciplinary committee and make it clear that political interference in the tournament will not be tolerated before any future tournaments can be corrupted by this unethical behavior.
