Trump’s signature policy achievement — the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 — further tipped the economic rules in favor of the wealthy at the expense of working people. President Trump promised relief for workers feeling the pinch of increasing costs of living, but all we saw was a 48% increase in the national deficit, financial benefits for Republican lawmakers, and corporations laying off workers instead of creating new jobs.

Tax cuts for big business don’t lift up working people. In fact, they do a lot of harm to everyday Americans by starving our federal budget and re-routing that money into the pockets of the rich. It’s time to repeal the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and replace it with a tax plan that helps out working families while making sure the super-rich pay their fair share.
