Defund UNRWA!
German Chancellor Merz, EU High Representative Kallas, British PM Starmer, Norwegian PM Støre, French President Macron, Canadian PM Carney, Swiss FM Cassis, Japanese PM Takaichi
UNRWA presents itself as a humanitarian agency. In reality, it has become deeply entangled with Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and other terrorist groups—using your tax dollars to empower extremism.
UN Watch has now released the UNRWA Terror Network, an investigative platform that exposes and maps the systemic infiltration of hundreds of UNRWA employees directly engaged in terrorism, or in promoting terrorism.
The findings contradict UNRWA’s repeated claims of neutrality, and reveal a longstanding pattern of complicity that has enabled terrorist groups to exploit the agency’s personnel, services, and taxpayer-funded infrastructure.
The UNRWA Terror Network documents how all of this was known to senior UNRWA officials, who meet regularly with terror organizations, refer to them as “partners,” and allow them to shape the agency’s policies.
With 30,000 employees and a $1.5 billion annual budget—mostly funded by Western governments—UNRWA is compromised at the highest levels.
Terror-linked figures have been allowed to lead UNRWA schools and teachers’ unions. UNRWA teachers have praised Hitler while celebrating Hamas’s October 7th massacre. UNRWA students are being taught violent jihad.
Since 1949, UNRWA has refused to resettle a single refugee. Instead, UNRWA teaches generations of Palestinian Arabs in Gaza and elsewhere that their real home lies in Israel. This narrative fuels endless grievance, hatred, and war.
Enough is enough. Donor countries must stop funding an agency that perpetuates war. Aid can flow through expert world agencies already operating in Gaza, such as the World Food Programme, WHO, or UNICEF.
The United States, the Netherlands, and Sweden have already announced an end to their funding of UNRWA. Now is the time for Germany, the EU, the UK, Norway, France, Canada, Switzerland, Japan, and all other donors to follow suit.
It’s time to support peace by defunding UNRWA.
