We, the petitioners, hereby express our support for the Early Learning Center (ELC) as proposed by the Rose Tree Media School District (RTMSD) to be located to the south of Penncrest High School, near the intersection of Middletown Road and Rose Tree Road. We recognize the following:
1. Our elementary schools are overcrowded due to the rapid growth of development in the area. We do not want educating our young students in trailers to be an ongoing solution.
2. RTMSD has sufficiently convinced us that expanding existing elementary schools in the district is not a viable option.
3. RTMSD has chosen a site that is next to a school, zoned for a school, and owned by the school district.
4. The K-1 Early Learning Center will provide full-day kindergarten, smaller class sizes, and age-appropriate learning and activity spaces. These are important characteristics of an award-winning school district which serves to maintain our property values.
5. The project will require a Land Use application to be submitted to and approved by Middletown Township, including a Traffic Study and an Environmental Impact Study. Before approval, the applicant will need to convince the Middletown Township Council that traffic, environmental, and safety issues have been addressed.

We urge the Middletown Township Council to hear our voices and work with RTMSD to create a successful project for the benefit of our community.
