Reverse Housing Fee Policy
Beloit College Board of Trustees, Eric Boynton, and Tim Leslie
Signing this petition signals support for Beloit College reversing the housing cost increase for Fall 2026.
Beloit College thinks it can increase the cost of housing by up to 16% in one year, five days after the Dean of Students explicitly stated to the student body that the increase would not go into effect until Fall 2027. This is also after some students have already begun selecting housing, and five days before the housing lottery was set to begin.
Students matter more than profit! The student body should not pay for the mistakes of the administration, who make six-figure salaries, including Eric Boynton, who made nearly $400,000 in his first year as president.
We have power as the Beloit community and as students. Let’s make sure to use it.
This petition pressures the college to reverse its decision, but we can (and should) show up, demonstrate, sit in, protest, and pressure the college in any and all ways possible. Be on the lookout for those actions soon.
