Stop the Commonwealth Bank of Australia from cutting regional services!
David Castle - CBA Regional General Manager
I'm Brian Mitchell - your Federal Member for Lyons - and I need your help.
Back in May, the Commonwealth Bank of Australia announced it would be closing its St Marys branch
This was an extremely disappointing decision that came out of the blue with zero consultation and zero respect for the people of St Marys.
Now, the CBA is planning to reduce its opening hours across another nine regional branches, including three more in Lyons (Deloraine, Longford and St Helens).
These branches will only be open from 9.30am-1pm, putting further strain on local communities - particularly St Marys and St Helens, who will be forced to share a branch with reduced hours.
I am calling on all Tasmanians to support local services and petition against these further cuts to regional Tasmanian banks.
Yours sincerely,
Brian Mitchell MP

Dear Mr Castle,
Back in May, the Commonwealth Bank of Australia announced it would be closing its St Marys branch.
This was an extremely disappointing decision that came out of the blue with zero consultation and zero respect for the people of St Marys.
Now, it has emerged the CBA is planning to reduce its opening hours across another nine regional branches, including three more in Lyons (Deloraine, Longford and St Helens).
These branches will only be open from 9.30am-1pm, putting further strain on local communities - particularly St Marys and St Helens, who will be forced to share a branch with reduced hours when the St Marys branch closes for good on August 6.
Please don't put further strain on regional communities by cutting hours.
It's time to show you care about the people of Tasmania and right these wrongs.
Yours sincerely,
Brian Mitchell MP
