Save our small businesses. Make outdoor dining permanent!

SF Board of Supervisors

Sign our petition to make shared spaces permanent! The Shared Spaces program helps our beloved restaurants, helps our city's economic recovery, and brings joy to residents.

The pandemic has taken a huge toll on our city. When covid hit, restaurants and bars were forced to close their doors. But Mayor Breed acted fast and launched the Shared Spaces program, which legalized outdoor dining and fast-tracked patio building permits.

Grow SF knows we shouldn't make outdoor dining illegal again: Shared Spaces should be permanent. We’re lucky to live somewhere that has incredible food and incredible weather. Let’s celebrate that!

Making the program permanent will help our restaurants and bars get back on their feet, create thousands of jobs, and generate tax revenue for the city. Outdoor dining will also attract tourists who will support all businesses in the city.

Dear Mayor Breed and SF Supervisors,

I'm writing to share my support to make the Shared Spaces program permanent in San Francisco. Our small businesses have been severely impacted by the pandemic, with many closing across the city.

Allowing the program to be permanent will help our restaurants and bars get back on their feet, create many jobs, and generate tax revenue for the city. Also, outdoor dining is fun and will help bring tourists back to San Francisco.

We’re lucky to live in a city that has incredible food and incredible weather. Let’s celebrate that by making outdoor dining permanent.

Thank you!
