Save the no 27 bus

Mr Ozzy O'Shea, Highways and Transportation Lead, Leicestershire County Council

We are petitioning Leicestershire County Council to maintain its funding of the number 27 bus route.

Residents of Seagrave and Sileby are very concerned about the recently announced review of the County Council’s funding for rural bus routes, including the 27 route from Thurmaston & Sileby to Loughborough via Seagrave and Walton-on-the-Wolds. If funding is withdrawn, residents of Seagrave and Walton without their own transport would be cut off from shops and essential services in Sileby, Loughborough & Thurmaston. Residents of Sileby would suffer the loss of another public transport link following the recent withdrawal of the no. 2 connection to Leicester.

Residents urgently request that Leicestershire County Council maintain its funding of the number 27 route which is a vital lifeline for many now, and for others in the future.

If you live in the Charnwood area and are affected by this potential change, please sign and share this petition.
