Save the Waveny Disc Golf Course

Town of New Canaan Selectmen, Council Members and Commissioners

The Waveny Disc Golf Course was created in 2007 on public park land owned by the Town of New Canaan. The Town is now considering allowing the construction of a private continuing care retirement community on park land adjacent to the disc golf course. Some of the options being considered would take woodland currently used for the disc golf course, clear it, and repurpose it for use as part of the retirement community development, for hardscape recreational facilities (like pickleball courts) and/or a parking lot. Please sign the petition to express your opposition to the adoption of any option that would result in repurposing land currently used by the disc golf course or that would otherwise materially adversely affect the course.

The Waveny Disc Golf Course is a great recreational asset for the Town of New Canaan and the surrounding region. We ask you to oppose any option related to the proposed continuing care retirement community that would result in repurposing land currently used by the disc golf course or that would otherwise materially adversely affect the course.
