Save Willoughby Way!
Concerned O4W Neighbors
If passed, this change in the Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) and zoning will set a bad precedent for developers to build an apartment building next to a single-family home, destroying the neighborhood for profit.

Dear Neighbor,
Did you know that a developer wants to build apartments at 637 Willoughby Way?
He is asking for approval to change the land use and zoning from single-family residential to medium density, mixed-use (MR-MU) to build an apartment building.
Over 200 neighbors have already spoken up in opposition to the proposal: We oppose the building of ANY apartments on Willoughby Way. We support keeping the land use on that property AS IS for a single-family home.
Old Fourth Ward has the fewest number of single-family detached homes in Atlanta. We have welcomed a mix of housing choices for the "missing middle" (e.g., townhomes, duplexes, apartments, etc.), but development should not be at the expense of losing our established single-family residential neighborhoods - what little single-family homes exist in Old Fourth Ward.
The developer has grown so desperate in pushing his agenda that he's resorted to using sneaky tactics, like changing the street address to 639 Ralph McGill. Even so, a change in the street address does NOT change the actual location of the property - it is clearly situated in the low density, single family residential area of our neighborhood.
This proposal FAILS to:
Protect the limited single-family home options in O4W
Deal with congestion issues
Preserve our tree canopy
Respect our neighborhood character
The developer also FAILED to get support for his land-use application at the October NPU meeting.
If you agree, please sign our petition. Together we can fight for our neighborhood and put a stop to this harmful development!
