Saving TPS
Adam Schiff (US Senate, CA), Alex Padilla (US Senate, CA), Bay Area Congressional Representatives
The Trump Administration is phasing out Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for over a million people who cannot return to their countries. TPS is a program that gives immigrants from countries that are experiencing adverse or unsafe conditions from a current or past armed conflict or a natural disaster the right to work and live in the United States. Congress has failed to provide TPS holders with a path to citizenship. Many of them have been here for decades; buying homes, raising families, and building careers. Cancelling TPS would continue the Trump Administration's policies of family separation. Sending them to countries they no longer know would put them at great risk.
We want to keep pressure on the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives to pass legislation that provides a path to permanent residency. Please sign this petition to our California State Senators Adam Schiff and Alex Padilla, and our Bay Area Congressional delegation, urging them to be in the forefront fighting to protect TPS.

We urge you to do all that you can to stop Trump from phasing out Temporary Protected Status (TPS) and stop the deportations of TPS holders when it is unsafe for them to return to their home countries. We call on you to demand that the American Dream and Promise Act, which provides a path to permanent residency to TPS holders and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients, be brought to a vote in Congress.
