Secure Blanca’s Stay Without Delay
Field Office Director Patricia Hyde

Today, community support kept Blanca free. Now, sign the petition to join her ongoing fight against deportation!
On Friday morning, Salem resident Blanca Martinez reported to the Burlington ICE Field Office with hundreds of community members by her side. Blanca knew this meant risking immediate detention by ICE, but our massive display of support has kept her free—for now. To win long-term protection, Blanca needs a stay of deportation and ongoing community support.
Sign the petition now to support Blanca’s fight for a stay of removal.
Blanca, a survivor of childhood polio living with physical disabilities and mobility issues, has been a Massachusetts resident for over a decade and has deep ties in her local community.
Since 2019, community members and faith leaders have successfully mobilized to prevent Blanca’s deportation. She is one of thousands of our immigrant neighbors in Massachusetts living under the looming threat of ICE violence, detention, and deportation.
Our victory today shows that community accompaniment works—and we must continue to organize support for Blanca and all immigrants under attack.

Dear Director Hyde,
On the morning of Friday August 15, Salem resident Blanca Martinez reported to the Burlington ICE Field Office with hundreds of community members by her side. Our massive display of support has kept her free—for now.
Blanca, a survivor of childhood polio living with physical disabilities and mobility issues, has been a Massachusetts resident for over a decade and has deep ties in her local community.
In 2019 during your term as Boston Field Office Director, you recognized the humanitarian grounds of Blanca’s case and granted her a stay of deportation, allowing her to remain with her community. Today, under your leadership, Blanca once again faces the threat of deportation despite the same compelling circumstances that once protected her.
Under these same grounds today, we demand that you grant Blanca a Stay of Removal to remain in her home with her community.
Sincerely,
