Everyday 110 Americans are killed by gun violence. This year, there have already been at least 600 mas shootings, and recently, we've seen an increase in mass shootings because of the wide availability of assault weapons. But it doesn't have to be this way.
The U.S. House of Representatives has already passed on a bipartisan basis an assault weapons ban with passage of H.R. 1808 this past summer.
It's past time for the Senate to also pass H.R.1808 to protect our communities.

I'm calling on you to take action today because losing even one life it too much. But everyday, 110 Americans are killed by gun violence. And recently, there has been a sharp increase in mass shootings that is harming our communities. This is unacceptable - and you have the power to do something about it by banning assault weapons.
