Send Michael Robison back to the line.
IUAW Executive Board
UAW members are the highest authority in our union. Fostering an open and democratic environment, free of intimidation and harassment is key to the success of our union. No IUAW representative should ever advocate for the closure of plants and the loss of members livelihoods due to political disagreements. This is tantamount to economic terrorism. This is why we are calling for the removal of Michael Robison from his post at the IUAW. As shown in the attached photos (along with his "apology"), we all clearly see that he openly advocated for retaliation against plants that voted no on Ford's recent contract by saying they should be shut down. This would result in not only the closure of individual plants but the destruction of entire communities and families!
This cannot be tolerated. A simple demotion is not enough! For Mr. Robison to continue as a UAW representative in any form shows that the IUAW condones and protects those who would do harm to hard working, dues paying members whose only crime is wanting a better contract. No dues should go to pay the salary of someone who would betray the membership. However we are not calling for Mr. Robison to be put out on the street. To do so we would be guilty of the same crime that he committed. We simply ask that he be stripped of ANY UAW position and sent back to his home plant to do some honest work for a change.
