President Biden and his team are negotiating a major jobs and infrastructure bill with Senate Republicans, and they’ve given themselves a Memorial Day deadline to get it done.

Republicans are proposing paying for their plan through “user fees”― a fancy term for toll roads and an increased gas tax, which sticks working people with the tab.

President Biden is proposing raising the corporate tax rate from 21% to 28%, closing loopholes that have incentivized multinational corporations to outsource jobs and shift profits to offshore tax havens, placing a 15% minimum tax on corporations so they can’t get away with paying $0 in taxes, ending fossil fuel tax subsidies and more.
