On Dec 4th, BelGioioso Cheese unilaterally withdrew from contract negotiations with the Teamsters Local 118, claiming without providing any evidence to the union that the Teamsters don't have majority support in the factory.
They posted a notice telling workers that when their current contract expires on Dec 31st, 2025, that BelGioioso will no longer recognize their union. BelGioioso has received millions of taxpayer dollars in subsidies and is returning the investment by trying to rip away union representation from 174 of our brothers and sisters three weeks before Christmas.
The workers need our support: tell Gustavo Badino at BelGioioso Cheese to stop union busting and come back to the table. Workers at BelGioioso want their union, and they want their contract. We are Union Strong, we stand with them in this fight, and we want BelGioioso to recognize the union and negotiate.
