Sign the People's Pledge
People of Washington’s Seventh Congressional District
Millions and millions of dollars of dark, unaccountable money have flooded campaigns in this country after the disastrous Citizens United ruling by the Supreme Court and further divided our politics.
Sign the People's Pledge and send a clear message - we reject unaccountable, outside spending and independent expenditures in the 7th Congressional District and must work to overturn Citizens United.
Senator Elizabeth Warren and her opponent Scott Brown signed this pledge during their campaigns in 2012, and several other campaigns did the same in 2014. We have the chance to lead from Washington state and make overturning Citizens United a top national priority.
Reject unaccountable spending in this race and sign the People's Pledge today.

We must reject dark, unaccountable money flowing into our campaigns this year.
We are deeply concerned about the disastrous effects that the Citizens United decision are having on our campaign finance system. This ruling has paved the way for corporations, billionaires, and outside groups to spend unlimited amounts of secret money on our electoral process resulting in a dysfunctional Congress that answers to major campaign contributors rather than the people they were elected to represent.
People deserve the freedom to select their own representative in Congress — one who advances the progressive legislation that is important for all families — without being bombarded by dark-money influences that are degrading our democracy and dividing our politics.
We join Joe McDermott and call for unaccountable, independent expenditures to stay out of the the campaign this year.
